Hello peeps im remington from Birmingham..i had my treatment done in 2011 at HHair in harbourne Birmingham..i see this place is based in solihull with 2 top practitioners..
I am concidering a check up with possible hairline review but i have some questions to ask..
Ive no question to ask about the practitioners because i know there the 2 top strikers in the smp division.
Ill like to know about pigments.ill assume that HHair use top pigments because theve been around the longest have invested in pigments..what pigments do brandwood use ,are they the same as hhair pigments..
Also what im concerned about is i had mine done at hhair in 2011 and ill assume theve got a treatment file on computer with all my details and pigment shades onnit..if i come to brandwood for my treatment would i be at a disadvantage not having my previous treatment files available..
    Thanks all..

The ink used at Brandwood is vegan, it is superior. The competitor you mention state theirs is plant based but ask to see the list of ingredients for yourself and see if they are willing to disclose what it is made up from.
Brandwood will openly show anyone their component list because of their honesty and transparency.

Along with better ink, Brandwood use superior quality needles, the dots are smaller and more realistic.

Regarding not having your previous notes, that’s not problem at all in my opinion. When you first went to HIS for your first treatment someone had to make the judgement call on what shade was to be used. You’ve already said these boys are top strikers in the Premiership. Place your trust in them.

I had my treatment at the other place too but will be going to Brandwood and sticking with a trusted team rather than returning and entrusting my scalp to a practitioner that I’ve never heard of.

As you are so close then I’d make an appointment for a free consultation and see what sort of vibe you get from the place.

Whatever you decide, best of luck

    cheers

    Rob

Thanks Rob for your comments. It goes without saying that if your clients are your biggest advocates then you’re doing something right!

Naturally all clinics are going to say that their pigments are best, Pepsi and Coca Cola continue to have a similar argument about taste. We believe in transparency and think that our work speaks for itself. Have a look through the gallery and videos, ask us any question you like and come in and see us anytime. We’re here for you.

Hi Remingtonchap , your name just like Robbie is quite a regular and familiar one on another hair forum , I always read your posts and your advice to other forum members and thank you for helping many clients like me in making the step to have scalp micropigmentation . I see you are still contemplating what to do next for your treatment and where to have it done as you have posted about Treatments , ink and 3D on that other forum again , if I may I would like to offer my advice to you on my experience at having 3D scalp micropigmentation at Brandwood . I had my sessions in October when Simon & Paul thankfully came back into the industry and it looks fantastic, that is the opinion of not only me but the people who now think I have stopped wet shaving my hair and now use a clipper as it gives the apperance of a an extra day or two growth . This is the next step in SMP and as you have already said , Simon and Paul are the best practitioners in this industry !
Read some of the posts on this forum , guys on here like Gunner , Klein, kelser and Steve Walters they are all ex his clients who have had 3D SMP at Brandwood and give glowing praise to the guys and staff . And then you have Robbie .. The King of the his forum , treated by Simon his post has something like 95,000 views and here he is now endorsing Brandwood . Like you i needed to know about the pigment at Brandwood and Paul showed me the components list immediately , can you say you have ever had that at the other clinic ? the free patch test which is not done anywhere else proved to me immediately that their dots are smaller than their previous employees . Also The treatment rooms are fantastic and on another level . Also Simon has had 3D SMP his pics are on the website under 3D scatter. My last advice to you and anyone else considering their options is simply this .. Go to Brandwood for a free consultation & patch test , that’s what I did ,and you live closer than me , all the staff are friendly with no pressure on you to sign up , they will answer all questions and show you components list , certificates etc and the most important thing is you know who your practitioner will be either Paul or Simon , not some new practitioner you have never heard of muttering they have 5 years experience ! so for me it was “no brainier” . I now have 3D SMP with a natural hairline delivered by the best team in scalp micropigmentation . Good luck Remingtonchap hope you get what you are looking for .

Great post Buzzcut, one that fills me with excitement when looking forward to the next chapter in my own SMP journey. This 3D sounds awesome! Only 4 more weeks until my consultation and patch test, I’m counting down the days.
    Thanks for your kind comments.

I’ve been to brandwood for a consultation and all went well nice place and nice people..
I’m booked in for the first of 2 treatments Saturday..
My 2011 treatment had faded slightly and I have a too straight primitive hairline from his hair in 2011.hopefully this can be rectified by Paul and Simon..
    I’ll report back when I’m completed ..
    Thanks for reading and replying..

hi Remington I’ve read your posts on the other forum , and now this and you have a great story and are obviously a big fan of Smp as its really enhanced your life like the rest of us .May i ask you why you have come to Brandwood for your new touch up instead of the previous provider ?

    Damn good question
weetabixhead I’ll try answer it for you..
There’s several factors that came into play,
1..location..I’m in Birmingham brandwood is 6 miles from me and his hair are 9 miles away..
2.originally when I recieved my treatment 5 and a half years ago at the other place I was 90% happy but I did recieve a very very straight hairline, and on reflection for a 40 something caucasian male that was a mistake..
3.if I went to his hair for this treatment touchup review I have no idea who would be treating me,but with brandwood and there social media stuff and there YouTube vids I can see videos of Simon and Paul chatting and get a feel for them..I know there very very experienced and specialise in natural treatments..
I can sit in my armchair and see there facebook pics there instragram, there twitter regularly updated with there latest work and the great hairlines etc,I’ve been stalking there social media like a serial killer for the past 6 weeks,watching,waiting..
Rumour has it that Simon lane and Paul Clark are the Brazilian strikers of smp..
So I went with them I’m just a punter making a logical decision..
I haven’t had my touch up yet but it’s imminent and I’ll see how it goes…
Hopefully I’ll be happy,I wanna be
ecstatic with joy at this smp review..
If it goes wrong I’ll slate em cos I’m a shit stirring little bastard..

Hi Remington any update on your treatments from the Brazilian strikers of SMP ? … lol love your last post every thing you said is so true , if I’m paying my hard earned dough i want to know who’s changing my life and working on my scalp , none of this bull about ” it depends on the day and all our practitioners are as good as each other ” …. we know thats not true and Brandwood have the best so its a win win all the way .
Though reading your last comments that your a ” shit stirring little bastard ” who will slate them if it goes wrong I’m glad its them treating you and not me …
look forward to hearing how it went .

Hey weetabixhead I had my first session about 3 or 4 weeks ago and my second and final treatment Saturday just gone..
Everything went as expected and met my expectations.
Paul Clark did both and he did a great job he’s a good practitioner/stylist..
It was a rectification job really as my original treatment has faded sumwhat with a too straight hair line and he’s fixed all that.
Total time in the evil smp needle chair was I think ,two 2 hour sesssions approximately..
Lots of photos were took in the studio and he asked me if he could put me on the website,I agreed so I might be able to link you to my pics sometime in the future..
    Let’s talk service review..
    Communication..
I first emailed brandwood about six weeks ago I think from my iPhone as you do..I had previously emailed my previous provider three times earlier this year but sadley never got a reply..brandwood replied to the 1 email I sent them the same day..
From there I was hooked up with a consultation and from there booked in for my treatments..I was send email appointment reminders and other useful information from brandwood..

    The smp session..

Paul Clark new exactly what had to be done,he works quick and precisely and spends time breaking hairline..he knows exactly what he’s doing.

I got after care sheet to tell me post session instructions..
I got payments recipes, which I never got from my previous smp hairdresser 5 years ago..

The receptionist was very good, she looks like a bloody film star, and did a great job..

I was told to report back to clinic in the new year after full settlement for a final look over (no charge) which was nice..

    The price was surprisingly cheap.
I’m happy to have brandwood as my hairdresser for life if they maintain these standards..

There are a lot of fucking cowboy smp providers in this world avoid them at all costs..

    BE CARFULL OUT THERE
