SMP for
Burns & Scalds

The trauma of being involved in an accident can be exacerbated when hair loss and scarring occur as a result. The evidence of your injuries is there for all to see and acts as a painful reminder whenever you look in the mirror.

Our Senior Practitioner, Simon Lane, knows all too well what this experience is like with his own unique personal experience of hair loss as a result of a childhood accident with boiling water. Simons’ life was transformed by SMP and working exclusively for Brandwood Clinic, he can do the same for our clients. He is committed to helping anyone who has suffered hair loss resulting from a fire or other burning or scalding incidents.

Burns cause injury to tissues when they come into contact with heat, flame, chemicals, or electricity.

At Brandwood Clinic, we CAN help you by using our world leading scalp micropigmentation techniques and our blend of natural, organically formulated pigments. Our practitioners can camouflage any scarring or imperfections, leaving you with a natural appearance, restored confidence and self esteem.

Types of Burns

There are three types of burns: First-degree burns damage only the outer layer of skin. Second-degree burns damage the outer layer and the layer underneath. Third-degree burns damage or destroy the deepest layer of skin, where hair follicles are situated, along with tissues underneath.

Scalp micropigmentation or SMP can be the best solution for camouflaging burns and scalds of the scalp where hair follicles have been lost or destroyed. Whether it is a partial burn to the scalp or the whole scalp that has been affected, SMP for burns can disguise all the imperfections and create a very natural appearance to the scalp.
